How does bdgt work?
bdgt uses secure, Open Banking standards to safely connect to clients' financial accounts and provide instant transaction categorization and a breakdown of clients' monthly costs and spending history.
bdgt never shares client data without permission, and we don't sell or rent client financial information to external companies. Instead, we work hard to keep client data safe and protected, every step of the way.
What is Open Banking?
Open Banking allows a bank to share an account holder's information securely via technology called Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). Put simply, APIs allow two providers to 'talk' to each other and securely pass the account holder's information, that the account holder has given permission to share, such as bank balances and regular payments.
Is bdgt secure?
The bdgt platform has been built with meaningful control and security at its core. bdgt's security practices are designed to meet or exceed industry standards, with numerous controls in place to keep client information safe. bdgt uses best-in-class encryption protocols, secure cloud infrastructure, multi-factor authentication, and around-the-clock monitoring to protect user data.
Is bdgt FCA regulated?
bdgt and Mltpl are trading names of Mltpl Technologies Limited (Company No. 13004754, VAT No. 362 7398 68). Mltpl is an agent of Plaid Financial Ltd., an authorised payment institution regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 (Firm Reference Number: 804718). Plaid provides you with regulated account information services through Mltpl as its agent.
Is bdgt GDPR compliant?
Yes, bdgt is GDPR compliant. bdgt meets the requirements for properly handling and storing personal data as defined in the law.
Does bdgt sell my data?
No, bdgt won't share client personal financial data without their permission, and we don't sell or rent it to external companies.
Can I re request my client's data?
bdgt allows you to easily re request authorisation for your client's account. This sends a new request to the client and asks them to reauthorise access. You will then receive an updated 24 months snapshot.
Can I request a specific time period?
By default, bdgt takes a 24 months snapshot of your client's transaction data. You can then easily filter the data to show a specific time period.
Can I get more than 2 years of data?
Unfortunately, not. bdgt is limited to 24 months of data. This is a current limitation of Open Banking and Banks are not currently required to provide more than 24 months of data.
Can I upload pdf bank statements into bdgt?
No, bdgt is an Open Banking tool that gets the data directly from your client's bank. This increases the efficiency of the data extraction process and reliability of the data you recieve.
Does bdgt cover all financial institutions including private banks?
Bdgt is limited by financial institutions who are sign up to Open Banking with Plaid Financial Limited. The coverage is pretty good and Plaid are continually adding more and more institutions to their portfolio. Coverage does include private banks but there will be the occasional institution that Plaid Financial does not currently support. Get in touch to find out more.
Can I request a shared bank account or credit card?
Yes, you can request authorisation from one of the account holders, in the same way that one account holder can request the pdf statements for their shared account.
Can I download the pdf bank statements?
The data you can export from bdgt is exactly the same as the information recorded in pdf bank statements. However, if what you require is a pdf bank statement with a bank's letter head, you'll need to get those directly from the bank.
